Dot Distribution map

2000 Population Distribution Maphttp://www.census.gov/geo/www/mapGallery/2kpopden.html

This is a dot distribution map of the United States representing the population density within the United States. This is from the 2000 census and basically this is a map of where the most people live within the United States. Looking at the map, the east and middle of the United States seem to have the most population density and then when you move further west you run into unpopulated lands. This is a dot density map because it uses dots bunched together to represent the data.
